What does “excess” or “deductible” mean?

The excess is the maximum amount you would have to pay if the car is damaged or stolen.

For example, if a rental car is damaged and the repairs cost is $1000, and the excess is $500, the renter would pay $500, and the insurance company would cover the remaining $500.

With Super CDW or Full Protection, this amount can be reduced or removed entirely.
